For The Obama Portraits tour, I created two unique murals responding to both portraits. These murals provided an opportunity for visitors to immerse themselves in the portraits and to ease flow of traffic for portrait sessions with the portraits. In just the first month, we have been able to track via the hashtag over 500 hundred visitors who have used the wallpaper. See the murals in action

For the Philip Guston Now exhibition, I worked with the Learning and Interretation Team to develop three iPad stations in the exhibition that further expained Guston’s life and the stuggles of the 20th century. I recognized that even in the 21st cenury, we are not equally educated about the history of racism and prejudice in this country and spent time integrating a timeline about the history of the Klan in response to Guston’s Klan paintings from the 20s to the 60s. In preparation for Simone Leigh’s Satellite joining the MFAH’s collection, I carefully photoshopped to scale the sculpture from the Venice Biennale photographs into the Sarofim Campus in front of the Kinder building. This was featured in many magazines and articles about the announcement. See the public announcement:
